Leaving USC due to major

Currently a sophomore transfer at usc majoring in English. Want to be in Marshall but by the time I get in I will be at the end of junior year and that’s if I get in so more tuition and time to graduate wit the uncertainty of not getting in as well. So thinking about leaving to an online school for this spring semester and try to transfer to another school in fall, this time as a business major. Want the learning experience, connections, and leverage of Marshall. Dornsife with Economics or a statistics major is not really of interest due to the heavy math, feel like there useless degrees and just wasting my time. What you guys think?

I'd say stick it out with the English degree. You're at a good school as is, and a business degree isn't the be-all-end-all. I'm finishing up economics and none of my coursework helped with interviews (aside from understanding the macro cycle). I grinded out technicals, hopped on networking calls, and it worked out well. I'm sure you can do the same.

Currently dealing with some other stuff in general so I’m staying home and taking online courses this spring. I might apply to some other schools for the fall semester as a business major this time and see what happens . Currently sitting at a 4.0 gpa and confident I get in to a top tier business school if I apply to them. Funny enough all the courses I took to get into usc were all business related including my recommendations and I stupidly applied to English in order to increase my chances. So kinda dealing with the consequences but believe I’ll believe fine if not much better.
