Local or non local MRE with focus in finance

I have just started with a PE firm and am looking to sharpen my skills and improve appearances. I passed the CFA level 1 but want something more targeted than what would be the equivalent of a masters in finance. I live in South Florida and I applied for an online masters in real estate from Georgetown; I aim to focus in finance. Should I aim for a local school?  Is there another route that may be better? I don’t plan to get an MBA unless it is from a top school, while I have the GPA I feel I will need time to get the score I want on the GMAT.
