LSE MSc Econ vs. CBS MSc Finance for IB in London

I’m a Scandinavian student currently pursuing a bachelor's in finance at a non-target university in London. I’ve recently been accepted into the MSc Economics programme at LSE and expect to receive an offer for the MSc Finance & Investments at CBS.

I have two internships in asset management, but my goal is to break into investment banking in London post-graduation. CBS would likely provide more opportunities to build my CV through part-time work and internships, whereas working alongside studies in London seems less feasible. Additionally, CBS offers the option of an exchange semester, which could broaden my international exposure.

Given that LSE is significantly more prestigious, would the brand recognition and alumni network at LSE outweigh the more practical experience and finance-focused curriculum at CBS? Which programme would best position me for IB recruitment in London?

Appreciate any insights, especially from those familiar with IB recruiting in London. Thanks!

While I do agree that LSE is probably the better option to get into London, as you and other commenters pointed out.

An overlooked advantage of CBS would be the advantage of added time (~2 yrs masters program vs 10 months at LSE). This could give you more scope to build your resume and would allow you to apply for SA/ OC positions, for two cycles (SA/ OC in cycle I and OC/ FT in cycle II)  rather than one.

I’m not sure how long your right to work in the UK would extend for (I believe 2 years), but my main point being is that both could work, with LSE being the more common path
