MAcc from USC hold any merit in IBD, PE, HF’s?

So I come from a very much non target school and recently got into USC for the MAcc. Is there any way I could leverage this to recruit into IBD roles in LA or NYC or is the MAcc just good for Big 4 roles. I know placements aren’t that high for the program but I think it’s because not many shoot for the IBD route out of the MAccc.

please dont listen to what anyone says on this site about what you can and cant do... if you have good grades and can decently network you’ll be fine. i know someone who got their macc for the university of missouri and is ib analyst for jp morgan now...

I think with solid networking, and possibly an intermediary stop at big4, you can do this, as long as grades and financial knowledge are commensurate. I can think of three USC MAcc grads I worked with at PwC during my tenure that went on to IB/PE or corp dev at large tech (think Uber). That being said, it would matter where you were in Big4. Technical advisory / management consulting vs. audit
