Masters in RE vs Masters in Finance/Banking for REIB

Happy Monday you disgusting primals,

I have a question that I cannot seem to find an answer to regarding choosing a grad path. My plan is to go straight into REIB after grad school.  Would a masters in RE or a masters in finance and banking be the best for this path? I have extensive CRE experience including brokering deals and a CRE certification + Excel modeling skills.  I have a zoom with admissions for the school of my choice, so I am going to ask them, but thought WSO might be a good place to start. Thanks for the insight.

Not sure about a Masters in RE as I have no experience there but I did do an MSF in the US and multiple people left the program with REIB offers. I would consider checking LinkedIn to find alumni of programs you're interested in who are also doing REIB and ask about their experience recruiting.

It's also something you could ask directly of the AdComs on your zoom call. They would appreciate that you have a specific goal in mind with the masters program and would (hopefully) either provide contacts or make introductions to alumni to help you with your decision. Best of luck!
