MBA candidate profile. Wharton Admissions chances??

Hello WSO world,

I would greatly appreciate some inputs as to my chances to get into the Wharton MBA program. I graduated from an SEC school with a 3.8 GPA, got my CPA license, passed all 3 parts of the CFA exam, got a 700 (even) on my GMAT, and held a senate position as well as president of the business school while in undergrad. I went straight into working as an investment banking analyst and am now am a first year associate. By the time I would enroll I will have three and a years of work experience. What percentage chance of admissions would y'all give me?? Thanks in advance!

I just looked at the class profile for Wharton and it seems that your GMAT is slightly low. If you can take it again to raise it, that won't hurt your chances of admission, especially considering that the rest of your profile seems strong to me (CPA + CFA is a nice catch). In addition, your GPA seems to be above the average, so I'd say just increase your GMAT if you really want to reel it in.

In my opinion,

Chances range from 20-50%+ as is (depends on the bank you work for and if you can differentiate yourself with extracurriculars or really interesting essays) , but adcoms will wonder why you couldn't do better on the GMAT if you can get a CPA/CFA. If you either work for GS/JP/MS, get a 730+ on your gmat, have good current extracurriculars/volunteering you solidify yourself in the 50%+ chance category.

There are more people in IB than you think who have: a 750, 3.9 GPA from H/Y/P/S/target undergrad, consult part-time for some NGO/nonprofit, etc.
