MBA IB Recruiting in San Francisco

I'm planning on starting an MBA at an M7 in a couple months and am considering IB. I realize the majority of people want to go to NYC, but I am wondering what the recruiting process would be like for San Francisco. Are you expected to travel out to SF instead of NYC during recruiting, or both? Also, what is the IB landscape like in SF/Bay Area (companies, groups, work hours, culture...)? There will certainly be fewer positions available in SF, does that make it more challenging to land an offer? If anyone went through a similar process and can share their experience, that would be appreciated. Or just more details on MBA IB recruiting in general would be helpful.

I'm older and want to end up in SF long-term for personal/family reasons. I've reached out to a few alumni from my school, but just wanted to hear anything that the WSO community might have.
