MBA: Is it worth going at my age?

I’m in my early 30’s with 5+ years in Big 4 CF in APAC region. Despite few attempts to get on board with BB/MM through a lateral hire in the region, it didn’t lead into any fruition. Therefore, I’m seriously contemplating on applying for a full-time program, if it’s worth the shot, as I see no way out of this place. My questions boil down to: - If I can secure a descent GMAT score and recommendation letters, do I have a shot at M7 in my age and experience? (Brief background: U.S. based target school, a low 3 GPA) - Assuming that I get to enroll into a program, how likely would I be considered seriously for my candidacy at IB(BB/Top tier MM/elite boutique) and PE(non-mega fund)? Do companies discriminate against older candidates?

Any insight or experience shared would be deeply appreciated and this will help me focus as I’m even considering switching to a local boutique house given that I feel very stuck in this organization.

Ultimately, I would like to move back to the states for the study and jumpstart my career.

Thanks in advance
