Michigan Ross vs WashU BUCS
Current high school senior looking to break into investment banking in NYC. Blessed to have received offers from both UMich Ross and WashU Business and Computer Science joint degree program, both with similar financial aid packages. How does the reputation of each school compare on the street and which would I have an easier time recruiting from? I've heard that recruiting at UMich runs through the most competitive clubs while WashU non-diverse has a hard time with placement. Any advice would be appreciated.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, Michigan Ross has a stronger reputation and track record for investment banking (IB) placement compared to WashU's Business and Computer Science (BUCS) program. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide:

Recommendation: If your primary goal is to break into IB in NYC, Michigan Ross is the stronger choice due to its established reputation, robust recruiting pipeline, and extensive alumni network in the industry. However, if you have a strong interest in tech or want a more interdisciplinary education, WashU BUCS could be worth considering, though it may require more effort to break into IB.

UMich Ross
bump
Adding to my previous comment, Ross is semi-target/target when it comes to NYC IB and has a strong pipeline. WashU will be much harder to break in since it is probably close to a nontarget. So, go with UMich Ross
