Most prestigious university in the world?

What university would nomadic pastoralists in the Saharan Desert know, or the tribespeople of the Amazon? What university has the strongest brand in the world?

What is the most prestigious university of them all for one to have attended?

Would definitely like to know people’s experiences in regards to this question rather than just a simple answer.

As a child who grew up in Africa and all I know as a child was Harvard and my local uni. Oxford and MIT were next and then came other universities after. I’m a Doctorat student in France and I think in France Harvard and Oxford are know by everyone but not the others.

 

Harvard/Oxford are the top tier and Yale would probably be in the next one with Stanford, MIT, Cambridge, etc.

 

I know the guy irl and asked him about it.

He told me he stopped using WSO as of two days ago. I don’t think he’ll ever be posting again.
