Motivational Letter for MSc in Finance

Hi guys,

I am ready with something like a final draft of my motivational letter for a MSc in Finance and I would like to ask suggestions, if someone is willingness to give it a look, please write here and I will send it to you in private. Thanks in advance for that.

In the meanwhile I would like to ask you something about the GMAT. I am preparing with Manhattan books and for Quant everything seems pretty good. Unfortunately, not being an english native speaker I am struggling with verbal, which I would need to ace at least 5/10 points. I have one last month of preparation, so you have any suggestions?

One last question. I have almost no internship experiences, mostly because in my country the educational system is pretty theoretical and even in summer we mostly study. Should I target 2-years programs rather than 1-year, in order to have the chance to apply for summer internship in the first summer?

Thanks in advance to everyone

The EGMAT verbal is famous among non natives. It was designed by Indians I believe. Maybe you can get a 1 month subscription. Magoosh is another one that's famous mostly for their verbal and it's also the cheapest I think. Hope this helps!

As for you personal statement and reasons for choosing a master of science, don’t worry too much. I talked to a director of admissions at one school and he said that they aren’t expecting you to want to change the world. List your reasons for pursuing finance, why you want to choose this school particularly and what has motivated you up to this point. Don’t make it sappy. Be professional and mature. There are some youtube videos that helped me out immensely.
