Msc Finance Bristol vs Bath vs Durham vs Queen Mary???
Hi, I got a Msc Finance offer from all these schools and ik that none of them are "target' schools, but a lot does matter on the person rather than the uni they went to. I just wanted to know which of these places would increase my chances of landing an interview at a top IB firm/HF considering academics and networking skills are decent.
Top HF is probably out of the question. IB might be doable but def not from Queen Mary.
.
You’re being told by people on this site, with actual experience in the roles, what unis are and are not good for recruiting. Suggest you listen to them.
If you want IB, a masters from QMUL, Bristol etc is all in the same bracket: you might have a small chance, but that chance is extremely slim at best.
I'm confused; I didn't see the replies and only the MS to my comment... Are people really surprised that landing a top 0.01% gig is going to be harder from a non-target? lol?
He made some comment about how a 1:1 from QM is just as good as a 2:1 from Warwick because QM is Russell Group, or something ridiculous like that
