MSF Choices... WUSTL vs BC vs JHU

Hey everyone,

I'd like to know what you'd all do if you were in the situation that I currently find myself in. I've gotten acceptances from a couple of MSF programs-- WUSTL (corp. fin. track), BC, and JHU. My post-MSF goal is to break into IBD or ER. A little about the three programs--

WUSTL and BC are similar in placement statistics and establishment, while JHU's full-time program is brand new and will be launching this fall. Also, Hopkins' class size will be approximately 200-250 students, while the other two schools' classes are around 50.

The main kicker here is that I received a $20k scholarship from JHU. JHU probably has a better "brand name" even though the program is less established than the other two. Also, the sheer size of its class makes me think that the school might be using the program as a cash cow, though it may also have something to do with them trying to cast a wide net to quickly grow its alumni base.

Given what you guys might already know about the programs at WUSTL and BC (since they're pretty widely talked about of all the MSF programs) versus what I've written above about JHU, what school would you decide upon, and for what reasons?

Any insight and/or opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

JHU is in the process of having a FT program and will be changing things around. Currently they have a PT program with a large number of people in various stages of completion. This will be the first FT program they field. That is the risk you are taking.

BC and WUSTL are established programs with placements and a formal process. Both are great. BC will allow you to intern in Boston which is a nice benefit, but both programs are comparable. WUSTL doesn't give scholarship money so if cost is an issue you might have better luck with BC and obviously JHU.
