Need help deciding. Duke Econ vs Cornell Dyson/Business

We feel fortunate that we have these two choices for our son. In terms of personal preferences, Duke wins out for him because of school spirit, sports, etc. I’d like to be the voice of reason during this process.
Is one school a better target for IB recruiting and internships? I keep hearing about Duke’s strong alumni network but I also question how much nepo goes into that? My husband and I can’t let go of the fact that he got into Dyson with only 150 students in the freshman class. I feel his odds for job placement is higher in Cornell due to numbers. Thanks in advance for your insight.

If you go to Duke and network well, join organizations, and are generally smart (which is a given since Duke and Cornell are both on the table), Duke's a no-brainer. The culture clears Cornell, and it's not like going to Cornell makes you a lock for recruiting. Duke places kids very well, and the ones that are driven do extremely well when the time comes. Pick based off the school's culture – the professional benefits are equal. If you're looking at culture, there isn't an aspect in which Duke isn't better.

Placement is similar between 2, but culture/school pride is 100x better for finance population in Duke than at Cornell. Can confirm as a Cornell student.
