Oxford MSc in Economics and Social History for breaking into IB

Hey fellow monkeys,

Over the LSE Economic History MSc I found the MSc in Economics and Social History run by Oxford University.

Keeping the line "brand>major" do you guys think that master worth it? Compared with LSE which one do you choose? Does anyone have experience with this MSc?

Target IB in London.

Honestly I would stay away from such programs despite the brand but if I were to choose, I would definitely go Oxford because of the sheer student clubs/activities in sports and what not which could pamper your resume and candidate profile. Even if you don't succeed getting into IB I think you would have a decent to good shot for consulting jobs.

 

You also have to think in what kind of period they graduated and obtained their degree. Back when they were young anyone with a degree pretty much had a certainty in getting a well payed job. Not to mention the contacts. How many of them have a master's degree or an MBA?

 

You have been looking for schools and programs since late last year if I remember correctly. You have other posts like this too. FFS just apply and get into one and then ask.
