Oxford MSc to get into Finance
Hi everyone !
Currently a Masters student at a second class school, I would like to apply for an MSc at Oxford next year. I would then like to join the Investment Banking.
However, I was wondering how MSc's that are not necessarily related to Finance are viewed, even if you come from Oxford: for example, is the MSc in Economic and Social History or the MSc in Comparative Social Policy worth it?
Masters in Finance and Economics are either too expensive or you have to take a GMAT or GRE and I wouldn't have enough time to do it. Does the name Oxford prevail, and would it be more beneficial to go to Oxford, even just for the name, than to stay with a masters in economics from a second rate school?
Thank you!
