Recruiting at different banks for FT after MBA Summer Associate Program

Hi Guys,

Just curious to hear from anyone with experience recruiting at a different bank after your summer associate program in between years. I realize this will vary from school to school and the quality of relationships you built up over the recruiting period, but any clarity would definitely be helpful.

For reference I am at an M7 heading to New York for the summer.

Thanks! Peter Parker

After summer internship in investment banking, if you performed well, you will normally get FT return offer from the same bank you interned at. IB rerecruiting in 2nd year is virtually impossible since they take their FT associates from their intern classes.

If you fail to get a return offer, you still have the option to recruit FT for tech and consulting (and maybe other industries). But the odds of getting return offer are higher than failing unless you're a hermit and just socially very awkward.
