Second Master due to Coronavirus?

Hi guys! I'm from Greece, 24, and I am studying Economics and Finance at a target university in Greece. Unfortunately, the coronavirus will fuck up the Greek economy severely and I figure that my master's degree will be useless by the time I am done with my Master, since unemployment will explode - again. I had a job lined up as a stockbroker, but now I doubt that will ever materialise. McK have also deferred my PST and they will get back to me by April. The only ones hiring right now are the Greek Army (E-1 for 3 years, then an extension for another 3, and then finito forever) and our National Health System for nurses.

Hence I want your advice. I am aware that the Greek economy will go to shit (it has always been shit post 2008, but now it will be worse than 2013) I have been looking to emigrate to Germany, since I speak the language fluently. As my degree will be useless (my uni is a non-target in Germany), I have applied and was admitted to the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management's Master of Finance. I wonder whether it's prudent to accept this offer and go to Germany in the times we live in, but if I don't go to Germany chances are I'll be unemployed in Greece or will have to join the military and waste 3 years of my life out of necessity. So my question is if the second master will be worth it in the first place. I want to work for risk management at banks or financial regulators.

German here though not a student of Frankfurt School (FS) but I know they place really well in Investment Banking for Frankfurt offices. I guess you could get similarly good conncetions for risk management positions. In your position I would give it a shot. Only downside of FS in my opinion are the kind of high fees for the relatively low reputation outside Frankfurt / Germany.

Good morning!

I am currently doing my Master’s at FS and I am also greek. Send me a private message if you want and I can give some more detailed informations about both FS and its significance in the Financial Industry in Frankfurt!

Cheers!
