Small PE shop --> boutique strategy consulting firm --> Top MBA | Is it possible?
I graduated in 2021, worked at a small PE shop, and now transitioning to a regional boutique strategy consulting firm (it has offices in +4 countries) because I originally wanted to do consulting and, besides, I know people at the firm.
Eventually I would like to switch to MBB (ideally in less than a year). But, if I don't make it, how feasible would it be for me to get into a Top 20 MBA and then work for MBB?
I don't know if this helps but people I know at this firm have received offers from Disney, Amazon, and well-known startups for manager positions within 1-2 years out of undergrad.
Also, I have a 3.77 GPA from a top school in my country.
Why would you want to quit a PE job to go to a regional boutique? Genuine question
