SSE Bachelor in Business & Economics or ESCP Bachelor in Management

The title says it all: I am considering whether to study a BSc in Business and Economics at SSE or a BSc in Management at ESCP.

Tuition: I am Swedish, and SSE is free for me, while the ESCP BSc in Management costs roughly twenty-thousand (20K) Euro every year.

Ranking: Overall European Business School ESCP ranking (FT 2025) is #4 (which is highest among those which offer bachelors). Meanwhile SSE is at #19.

Educational quality: I have heard that SSE is more technical, and actually better if you want to get into finance. Personally, I would like to get into finance (some masters in finance, pre-experience). Though, I am not sure about IB since the work-life balance is non-existent. I would prefer wealth management at a firm like Dimensional.

Other factors: What else do you believe I should consider? I believe tuition and geography may be deciding factors. But ESCP's ranking makes me unsure (but I have heard the Bachelor in France is not all that well-regarded).

What do you think?

ESCP is much better known than SSE and will open more doors. Escp bachelors is really good but if you can save money and get similar outcomes then go for SSE. Afterwards you can do the MiM/MiF at escp/hec etc.

You should go to jail for writing such shit... SSE is free and he is Swedish makes total sense... Lol HEC MiF will shit on you with the escp bachelor...

Do SSE bachelors then Escp or any of the other top 5 European masters after and you're good

Escp bachelors is solid but sse being free is a big advantage

You’re overweighing rankings a bit imo. At the bachelor level, especially for finance, school brand matters — but not enough to justify ~80k total cost vs free at SSE.

SSE has a solid pipeline into Nordic finance and is generally seen as more “quant/rigorous,” which helps if you’re thinking about finance down the line. ESCP is great, but its strength shows more at the MiM level.

Don't listen to the clowns arguing here.

I'm French so I can tell you ESCP Bsc has no value as a standalone. You'll have to "wash" it with a master degree because it's worthless.

ESCP is a well-known school for Master Degrees (MiF and MiM/PGE), like basically all the French Business Schools.

SSE is miles ahead for undergraduate degree.

There's very few standalone bachelors that have value in the EU, so you need a master either way.

Sse is a better bachelor cost wise but let's be honest about how far bachelors get you in continental Europe. It won't land you your dream job but will help you get springs, some relevant roles and time for gmat prep

The ESCP top ranking is for its masters, and does not consider bachelors, although yes the name is prestigious by itself in the industry. Their bachelor has a very German cohort for some reason I've noticed.

Since you're Swedish, SSE is an obvious choice. It being free is a major advantage.

Both will land you good masters. If money is no object then living in London/madrid/paris might be more interesting to you than Stockholm.

In terms of internships you have an advantage in nordics so tap into that with SSE

Good luck!

Mate we see that you are an escp bachelor student... happy to see I am not the only one to call out the shenanigans of the escp management on their bachelor... I repeat avoid at all costs!
