Stanford Masters in Lieu of MBA?

If you've already made it to your industry of choice (private equity/venture capital), and there's no real need to get a brand-name MBA in the short-run (e.g. you don't need the placement or career office of a MBA program), would it make sense to do a Masters of Management Science & Engineering at Stanford for the pedigree if your undergraduate degree is from a non-target state school? Stanford allows you to do the program part-time while working and online, and the ultimate degree doesn't differentiate between part-time/online/on-campus/full-time students.

Will it help with pedigree?
