Thoughts on LSE MSc Finance

Just received an offer from the programme and would really appreciate any insight into the programme, especially with regards to placement into London IBD and the quality of the curriculum. How does it compare to HEC's MSc International Finance?

I don't know how they compare but I'm unsure why you'd want to go study in some village 45 minutes from Paris if you have an offer from a school in London with a massive alumni base down the street.

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA

These are 1 year programs which essentially mean that if you do not have the prerequisite internships, you won't get FT IBD. Simple as that. Applying for Masters is to extend another year for yourself to recruit, do another internship in between, get a better school on your resume. Masters in these programs won't make or break your application, most of your stats are determined beforehand. Having LSE or HEC just translates to more places willing to interview you, if you came from a non-target undergrad.
