Thoughts on Notre Dame?
Have a look at the survey in this post . It seems that Notre Dame places surprisingly well actually. Why is it that Notre Dame doesn't receive much attention here?

Career Resources
-because most people want to work in NYC not chicago
-extremely white/catholic, you'll be miserable unless you fit in with the culture
-doesn't have prestige to the layperson
vast majority of ppl i know going into ib at nd are not going to chicago
I’m a student at one of the rival catholic colleges (think GT/BC) and I’d verify that Notre Dame punches far above its weight on Wall Street, even in New York. Significant presence at the BBs like BAML, GS and Citi. They seem to have started to break into the EBs like EVR recently as well. Sure they seem to send a lot of kids to Blair and others in Chicago but the kids that want to go NY are very successful given the expansive alumni network.
Presence at EBs has been growing. Last class placed at EVR, PJT, MOE, GHL, LAZ, PWP, etc and all the BBs. Most IB go to NY
Current ND soph here. Our last class sent 60-65 percent to NYC, 30 to CHI, and the rest to San fran, houston, and boston. So wouldn't say chicago is the main place, but definitely more well connected as that's where the majority of previous classes went before I'd say 2015 or so. Career center definitely killing it over past year to help kids
strong feeling the 3 comments above are all written by the same ND kid
Nah, I don't go to Notre Dame but I buy it. The kids there are smart and the alumni base pulls hard for them. Also, midwest IB feeders placing mostly into Chicago is a common misconception on WSO, it's not like the West Coast schools. Michigan, Notre Dame, and Indiana place significantly more kids to NY than Chicago for IB. UChicago and Northwestern might place more into Chicago though because they're 20 minutes away from the Chicago offices.
