Transfer Advice

I'm currently a freshman at Fordham Gabelli. I finished with a 3.67 GPA.  I am looking to transfer because I do not like the area and culture. I want to work in IB in NYC and eventually PE. I want to go to Grad School eventually too. I applied to Rutgers Business and Michigan econ. What other schools should I apply to?

Generally speaking, you need to base your decision not just on the schools prestige or finance placements but also how easy it is integrate to the school. Recruiting is so much more difficult without getting help from other students, especially upperclassman. But more importantly, you want to make sure you’re not miserable at your new school because transferring already puts you at a disadvantage socially. Make sure to research transfer housing, various clubs you could join, Greek life, and develop a plan for how you would integrate. If you can’t do that, don’t apply to the school. You’d be surprised how insular some schools are
