Transfer OR NO based on non sense

Hey guys, would really appreciate some advice with some school bullshit i'm having.

Go to a non-target in the NY/NJ area. I'm a sophomore with a good academic record (3.5 gpa, 3.8 by major, still improving). looking into IB and the world of opportunities...possibly thinking about getting an MBA first then breaking in. Not sure yet, depends entirely on how these next 2 years go.

Here's the deal. I've had it with the non-sense at this school. The social life is stupid. it's all about being in a group (and having a status) and although i have a group of friends some of them piss me the F**k off. This place kind of sucks and i'm thinking about doing extremely well this semester and hopefully next too and looking to transfer my spring junior year (so next spring semester) or should I go for THIS FALL?

Final point, although i like my friends here should I stay or should I go? I feel they don't care about the friendship between all of us anyway and are the kind of people who would say "ah too bad, oh well f**k it" if i left anyway...Or should i take my ambitions somewhere else, hopefully a better school too. Is it worth the hassle?

Better to do it now. Send out some apps and see what happens, can't hurt!

In the same boat as you. Go to a no name NY/NJ private school. Sophomore/Econ/4.0. Trying to transfer to top LACs.

Start now. The most selective colleges' transfer deadline is usually March 1. I am applying to the ones with deadlines on April 1. PM me if you want to discuss this.
