Tulane Freeman or UVA Econ

Hello,

So far I am admitted as an incoming junior to Tulane Freeman (on scholarship), UVA (Econ. NOT MCINTIRE. in state), W & M, and UNC-CH. I have narrowed down to UVA or Tulane Freeman. I really don't care if I get into DC aerospace/defense I-banking, NYC BB, or Houston/Dallas Energy S & T prop. I just want to know which school leads to the strongest pipeline of breaking in. Thanks for any input.

Then probably UVA, but you should take a different view on this. College is arguably the most fun time in your life. Do not only look at placement, but also where you will have the most fun and fit in best as a person (social life). Both schools will give you a good shot at IB if you work hard and both have alumni on the street and in texas. I was done at Tulane for a weekend and absolutely loved it, the city, the weather and the people.

Think about it this way, you will be more successful if you are having a good time and feel good and happy every day when you get up. You can go to the best school in the world, but if you are miserable every day, it is not worth it.

Break into what exactly. I get that you're young, but Tulane and UVA will get you different places. Also what are your other interests. Going to the best school doesn't matter if you are unhappy. Overall, UVA probably recruits better but Tulane does send a handful of kids to NYC and a good showing to Houston. The people who want to go into energy trading are different than the ones who IB. Figure out where/what you want to do a little bit more (ie banking vs prop shop).

I want to make bank. So what is more likely to achieve that goal Tulane Freeman -> energy in Texas? or UVA Econ -> NYC BB/DC I banking/ PE/ management consulting. I just want to know if Tulane business school is a stronger target for lucrative career fields than UVA on account that UVA Econ is significantly inferior to McIbtire while Tulane is actually a target for Houston/Dallas energy

If your only goal is money (which is probably its own issue) then you have to realize you have to be good to actually make money. Prop shops/energy trading could make you bank or you could lose your job or get stuck in a scheduling position and making 200k max. I would go UVA if you could transfer into their Bschool or go Tulane and kill it. But figure what you do well first.

OP doesn’t understand that he is facing an uphill battle already recruiting as a junior. His battle is even bigger because op is fucking retarded and doesn’t know which career he wants and wants to do whatever pays more. Whats impressive about op is that he is capable of having such a shit attitude regardless of his lack of accomplishments.

and also I have access to UVA online recruiting portal now so I am in not as bad shape as you believe there are still some firms doing remote internships this summer. It may even be to my advantage because I can potentially get an internship this summer before junior year as I am competing with kids through online recruiting site at UVA instead of on campus fairs.

"OP is good at acting like an arrogant, condescending, better than you asshole. Only he's not actually better than you."

Aww shucks. I guess I will just have to make something of myself so I can meet your expectations

Also COVID 19 cancelled my SAT retake so I only applied to back up schools. Easily could have gotten HYSPM if SAT didn't get cancelled. literally jewed me out even some of my back up schools.

Oh well. I can pull a 3.9 at UVA, crank my load out on the GMAT, then go to HBS or Wharton MBA. Let your girlfriend swallow that for lunch.
