UBC Econ vs Sauder

I am not very well informed with regard to IB and Consulting in Canada. Here are a few questions:

What is the salary progression like for those who recruit out of undergrad into IB in Canada?

What are the targets for these big IB analyst roles? For example do I have to be from UBC Sauder to have a good chance at good recruitment into IB?

What are the target schools in Canada for MBB recruitment?

You never have to be from anywhere to be successful.

Neither Sauder or UBC Econ are incredible for IB recruitment in Canada or MBB recruitment. This has probably been written on this forum 1000+ times in its history, but the Tier 1 Schools for IB and MBB consulting in Canada are Western Ivey, Queen's Commerce, and McGill Management.

Western has an established pipeline to McKinsey thats typically very strong.

Queen's has strong connections with BCG historically and have been growing a presence at Bain.

Honestly I don't know where McGill places the most, but they are sprinkled in everywhere.

TLDR: It doesn't really matter where you go to school in Canada, hit the GPA cutoff and network. But if you care about being at a target UBC Sauder isn't really one.
