UGA Corsair Placements Summarized

See below for FT and internship placement for UGA's Corsair IB cohort. When it comes to large state schools, there seems to be a large focus on IB clubs due to their pipeline (see Kelley IBW for the best example of this), so I summarized placements to increase understanding of the relative strength/weakness of UGA's main IB club vs other's like Kelley's IBW.

*all locations are NYC unless otherwise noted.

Full time (class of 2023):

EB: Evercore, PJT

BB: Citi (5x), J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs (Salt Lake), UBS (2x), Barclays

PE/REPE*: Adam Street (CHI), Eastdil Secured

*I think these are REPE roles, but not sure.

Prospect in IB-M&A

Looks very good. UGA is easily the best school in Georgia or at least the closest thing to a target in that state

Entirely false.

This is a small, select group of students in a highly prestigious club that is near impossible to get into.

Emory and Georgia Tech are both better schools, although as I’ve stated before, a 4.0 from UGA (or any good large state school like UF) can give you a better chance than say a 3.7 from Emory IF you tackle recruiting and internships early

In my experience a 3.7 from Emory or its ilk will take you further than 4.0 from UGA. There will be those 12 people in a class  of 1200 at UGA that land BB/EB but for the general body the ceiling is pretty much Truist. I have seen 3.3-3.4 kids from schools like Emory land banks like Truist. This is obviously assuming that the 3.7 kid at Emory does interview prep and networks.
