Have a big decision and I'm looking for some extra input here. I've already read the USC vs. ND Mendoza thread and the Ross vs. Mendoza thread, but I recall that neither of those really included money as a factor. With a week left to decide, I've narrowed my options down to three, with UVA and ND slated to cost roughly the same ($35K/yr) and a Ross preadmit offer pushing $50k/yr. The goal right now is IB or MBB in Chicago or NYC (subject to change of course), and it's my understanding that Ross is the best of these options for that. My question, then, would be whether it's $15k/yr better. Have an older sister who'll be in college at the same time, so $50k would be a stretch-- the ceiling of what's doable but must be well-justified.
Having to apply to Mcintire later at UVA would annoy me, but I guess if by then I can't get into Mcintire, then maybe I'm not cut out for finance anyways. Not overly worried about being able to get the grades though. Everything I've read about ND says that it's a unique beast with some major pros and cons that aren't readily quantifiable. I will say that I do roughly fit the demographic mold for ND, just can't say that it's my dream school.
Just seeking any major suggestions from your experience or any considerations I may have overlooked. Thanks monkeys
UVA at a lower cost is a no brainer over Mich.
