Undergrad Study Advice ?

Just like everyone else, I too want to land a job in a big firm in the future, but I need some advice at the moment about my study route.

Here is the situation, I'm working two bachelor degrees simultaneously, one in finance and one in engineering. The business degree is from an online school while the engineering degree is from a Top 15 engineering school. My CGPA is 3.9. I'm going to graduate first with the online business degree followed by the engineering degree. After this I will go on to complete a masters in engineering and also probably a masters in accounting or a MBA. I will also sit for the CFA exams after school. So do you guys think that I will have a hard time finding jobs just because my first business degree was from an online school ?

It might be a drawback but since you have an engineering degree recruiters should not question the online finance degree too much. If you are strong in technicals you will be fine.

Don't even mention the online degree

I'm trying to start a career in accounting/finance. I started off doing engineering first but soon got hooked into business studies. I will finish my engineering degree cause I started it and it would be a huge personal milestone for me as well.

Honestly just skip the business related degrees and try to get some relevant internships and break in with just an engineering degree. Business degrees dont help you break in if you dont have relevent experience, and an online degree wont do anything for you. Focus your efforts on finding an unpaid internship and hit the ground networking. Read M&I and WSO on how to cold e-mail and network.

Good luck!

If I do MS in Accounting or Finance later on, do you guys think it will help me cover up the online BS business degree and give me a good head start ?

Well you don't have anything to "Cover up", but I do agree with others who write that you should skip it, cause it won't really help you (although maybe some of the learning you picked up will). If you do an MS in finance, it can strengthen your profile, for sure. But your best way to get in is still to just try and get those internships, impress people with your hard work, get an offer, rather than worrying about being unqualified and adding more years of schooling before you look for a job.

OK. So why do you guys think it will do more harm than good if I mention the online degree ? I really want to land a decent job with that tbh till I finish my engineering.
