Uni Courses?

Hi all,

Recent highschool graduate based in Brisbane here wanting to eventually break into IB, PE or something similar. I didn't quite make the cut for BAFE at UQ so I'm soon about to start a bachelor of commerce at UQ. Is it worth transferring to BAFE for second year uni to help get into these types of professions? If I do I'll be at uni for 2 more years (3 years commerce compared to an extra 4 for BAFE). I'm happy to look for careers internationally just wondering whether the extra 2 years is worth it for BAFE?

Thanks in advance.

Not the most qualified to answer but I’d say yes. Extra time at uni isn’t bad and I think BAFE will get you more looks than commerce alone. Plus you’ll be around other students interested in the field etc etc. BAFE places really well so no harm in trying to transfer in after 6 months/1 year. You may also get university credits for subjects you complete in 1st year commerce that apply for BAFE so it may not actually be an extra 2 years of study.
