Wash U(Saint Louis) Full ride vs Northwestern(No money)
Lucky to have choice between WashU(Full Ride) vs Northwestern(NO money). Parents can pay but I'm interested in ROI. Appreciate any feedback. Gotta decide in 4 weeks.
1. For IB in NYC
2. For IB in Chicago
3. For MBB Consulting NYC or Chicago
Take WashU and grind. Both are great schools, play your cards right and you can do IB in Chicago, LA, or NYC. Seen people including myself place from no name schools with 80% acceptance rate.
No point in making your parents fork out a ton of money when I would argue WashU is the more impressive school.

I think Northwestern is clearly the better school and places much better into IB and Consulting (especially the latter, scores of kids place into MBB each year). BUT, getting a full ride is HUGE and saving ~$300K trumps the headstart that you’d get at Northwestern so probably would pick Wash U if I were you
Would agree northwestern places better for banking, but if you’re smart/normal at WashU you will place well too.
Think WashU has better consulting placements overall.

All things equal maybe, but the 300K is a massive push for Wash U.
My suggestion is just go to the campus and decide if its worth it for you.
