What now? Advice to deal with rejection

Hi guys,

So a follow up on my previous post-- I ended up getting rejected from Wharton undergrad. Apparently this year was much more difficult, but it still stings like a you-know-what.

I still want to believe that my hard stats (4.0 unweighted, 1530 SAT, 800 Math II Subject SAT) can get me into other targets, but my confidence is currently nonexistent. Have any of you guys faced a similar situation and have any advice to cope?

I'm still planning to YOLO apply to UChicago, Stern and all the Ivy's. Whatta masochist lmao.

Also are there any other underrated targets that I should consider? Already have ND and UMich.

Plenty of people with near perfect stats, ECs and essays get rejected from Wharton so you shouldn't be surprised and more importantly don't beat yourself up about it. Focus on other targets and don't forget to apply to some solid schools for your safeties.

What are your ECs and other personal factors? The T20s get a shit ton of academically qualified applicants with hard stats like yours (4.0s, 1600s, etc.), the majority of which get rejected. It's the ECs and more subjective things that really distinguish you from the rest of the pack.

Damn I think you have a pretty good shot then especially with the first gen college and URM thing. If you got waitlisted or deferred anywhere make sure to write a letter of continued interest for those places. Other than that you should be good. I think with your stats + extracurriculars you'll get into at least one T20.
