When did BC stop being a crappy school?
Heard alot about how Boston College was once a crappy school but its glowup was a bit more recent. Can anyone chime in on the timeline and reasons?

I personally wouldn't consider it a great school. I think it's a fine school but I think you're overestimating it a bit here.

It was never a bad school. It just gets more play on the street now due to increasing headcounts and lower interest from students at traditional targets.

Don’t know how far back you’re thinking but they were on the verge of bankruptcy in the 70s and I guess through disciplined strategy + a good admissions department have righted themselves
They’re up in terms of the richest student body so I’m sure that helps with tuition, job placement, etc.
