Which program can help to land a job in consulting? Duke MMS or Columbia Risk Management?
I have a double major in econ&psychology for undergraduate, one internship from a consulting firm (but on BD side) with two other finance internships(not IB). The risk management program at Columbia is from School of Professional studies, which has a very mixed review (mostly negative). MMS has a short duration (only 10 months) which makes recruiting very intense. Is it true that HR doesn’t look at which school you go but only the name? I’ve heard that some firm only hire from Ivy regardless of the actual school, but also SPS doesn’t share the same career resources as other schools from Columbia.
