Will a Masters degree help me progress my career in finance?

Title is fairly self explanatory here. I studied econ w finance minor at a top "public ivy" (I know I hate it too) with solid grades (3.5) graduated in 2022. Currently have a very unique position at a massive globally recognized exchanged looking at institutional portfolios; great blend of technical and client facing skills. Only problem is not a lot of room for movement within company and skillset is fairly role-specified so would love to expand my horizons.

My passion is Investing/Asset Allocation/Portfolio Management. I respect the pedigree that comes from an analyst stint in IB but have absolutely zero desire to be a banker (not even terribly interested in post IB options; PE/VC).

Will a masters degree from top programs help get me where I want to go? I see more value from a skills perspective in equity or fixed income research than banking so interested in those kinds of positions. Also have a strong quant background so not opposed to pursuing quantitative roles after the right program. I'm very much okay with starting out at an analyst level.

Would just love some insight / to hear some thoughts. Have been looking at MSF chains on here with many claiming they are cash cows and wont help you, but those are mostly in regards to IB. Some seem to me like the would genuinely be helpful. I'm confident enough with my intellect and networking to find a good role if I get accepted to a respectable program, truly curious to see if the knowledge and pedigree that comes with one of these programs would be helpful. Lastly, the prospect of going back to school is appealing to me and I enjoy academia. Thanks in advance.
