Working in finance after BSc International Relations LSE
Hello!
I am an international applicant who has recently been accepted to the International Relations undergraduate program at LSE. I am very interested in international relations and want to move to a more dynamic city like London. However, I am concerned about the job opportunities after the degree, especially since my family and I will likely contribute £70,000+ for tuition. I have heard from my student counselor that there is more flexibility regarding the fields you can work in within the UK if the university you attend carries some prestige. I have been thinking of studying Business and Economics at SSE, the most prestigious university in Sweden, due to some interest in the fields (the subjects also involve mathematics, which I am interested in) and the better pay. However, I feel like my passion tilts a bit more towards international relations and I am a bit tired of Stockholm. Is there a possibility of going into finance with a degree in international relations from LSE? And how are the prospects of working in politics/international affairs if I decide to study Business and Economics at SSE? In the long-term, my aspiration is to work outside of Sweden in a more dynamic international city.
Would greatly appreciate help!
