Would recruiters look down on a MSc from an online university?
I'm finishing undergrad at the end of the month and looking to try and break into IB. I don't have any internships to list on my resume, so I'm looking for ways to distinguish myself in the hiring process. I'm looking into extended analyst internship programs at boutiques near me that are more geared towards people who already have a degree and no relevant work experience, so I figured if I could potentially get ~6 months worth while also working on a Masters of Finance, it would really help to beef up my resume. I also plan to prepare for and sit for L1 of the CFA either in December or next June. I was wondering if trying to work on an MSc online with a school like Liberty University would benefit me at all. Obvious pros would be the price of the program and the ability to work through it while also doing other stuff like an internship or the CFA, but I'm just not sure if it would actually provide me any benefit or if it could even potentially hurt me considering it's not from a "great" school. Any advice would be appreciated.
