So I got the phone call-Thank you IBOasis

Yeah, I finally got an IB offer and after the route I have had, it feels incredible. I go to a sem target (a lot of banks come here but dont hire in large numbers). PLus my credentials aren't great (Slightly under 3.5, internships in other divisions of BBs, Ton of leadership). It wasn't easy by any means since a lot of banks won't even look at you and a certain amount of luck is almost a prerequisite. I really think IBOasis has a significant part to play in this and thanks to everyone on this board. Just waiting for my paperwork now.

Enjoy college or what little remains of it is def. something I am going to do. I am graduating in December so def. thinking about spending a month or two in Europe/Napa Valley.

you are more than welcome to believe what you want to but .. 1) I wasn't about to reveal the name of the school I go to. Not explicity anyway. Hence. .."semi target. big ten. you do the math" 2)There are two reasons I posted this a) To thank people on this board who answered any questions I had. It made my research process easier. Yes, most of my preparation was because ofmy classes/vault guide/friends but IBOasis did help b) To show that it is actually possible to get a job without stellar credentials. Now I don't know why your perspective on life makes you feel like a genuine thank you actually has to be some sort of advertisement but I would appreciate it if you did not discredit my achievemnt.

Congrats on your success. Sites like this are great, they really provide for that information gap that students at Big Tens are faced with. I was in a similar situation; big ten, great GPA but not the best (3.58), BB experience but not M&A, and that key leadership experience. But regardless I finally got an offer two weeks ago. It's tough, but this simply proves it can be done with enough hard work and dedication. Credentials are important, but personality and hunger will help take you to home base.

Congrats again bud.
