Success story and thank you, BB TMT

Broke into FT BB TMT about a month and a half ago.

Brief story: USC/UCLA student. Got interested in Finance my Junior year, summered at a MM firm in ER, and then summered at a reputable REPE firm. Decided that I wanted to break into IB FT, and had a keen interest in TMT.

Struck out with a lot of firms, and got some hits from MM. Didn't really consider BB because I thought most firms would fill up with summers. Without networking, got a hit from an online application, passed the phone int, and got an offer after the superday.

I owe a lot to the community, and hopefully over the years will be able to give back in a tangible and effortful way, and just wanted to share my story.

congrats! just curious how you landed a phone interview just via online app...did you have >3.8 gpa? i wonder if banks actually filter online apps though gpa.
