I got an offer to join an elite team at JPM and another offer to build a new team at BNP. Comp would be similar.
I am leaning towards the former but I feel unsure about missing an opportunity to become a team lead. Which offer would you take?
Hi bluke, just trying to help:
More suggestions...
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
I think it somewhat depends. Incoming at BNP and have a similar opportunity to work on a team at the ground floor with only one or two team members above me. What division/team/group would you be starting at??
I never worked at BNP, but went through a recruiting process a couple of years ago and it was pretty terrible.
Had like 14 interviews over a month and a half, they seemed to have lost a ton of middle level people and the seniors I talked to were very euro-douchey. Had that Goldman arrogance, but worked at BNP and knew it.
The thing that really bothered me was that after so many interviews and speaking to so many MDs, was totally ghosted by HR. Like how hard is it to send a short email saying I was rejected. Why ghost? Lol, you’re HR it’s not like you don’t have time.
thanks for the feedback and your anecdote is amusing...
