2 years interning 1 left

I have been interning at the same place for 2 years, I work at a REIT. I have mostly been doing real estate analysis and have been exposed to CDOs and bonds. I really want to be a trader, I know the company I work for has 2 hedge funds, I was wondering if I should try to get into one of these hedge funds for next summer or try to work at one of the big banks on a real trading desk. However, I feel like if I stayed at my current company I would be offered some kind of job after college, not sure with the big banks. Any input would be appreciated.
