i know but i get that all the time from ppl who don't know what the heck traders do...they're like "oh so you're trying to make a lot of money?"

i always say, "yeah, luckily what i want to do pays really well if your good at it...." but, i could never imagine doing a job with a cap on the salary anyway. i'd rather sell vacuum cleaners for myself than work a well paying job with no room for performance based comp.
