Any point in applying to Optiver SA 2025 with a 2:1?

I am at a target uni in the UK for Quant stuff, (oxford/imperial/cambridge), doing one of the subjects they like (maths/cs/physics). But i messed up my first year exams and ended up with a 2:1 for first year. Is there any point in applying to the 2025 Trading SA at Optiver with a 2:1, or is it just a waste of time to get auto-screened. I think I got auto-screened for Jane Street and DRW already.

I dont really want to waste my time prepping for potential tests/interviews if theres no point, i would rather just focus on the BB S&T and maximise my chances there, but if there is a chance I can make it then I will still apply (I can do the maths test for Optiver pretty easily so if I make it past the resume screen then Im pretty sure I have a shot).

yeah but it asks for what grade you are currently on track for, i know im gonna get a first in the end, but i dont want to lie in case they ask for my transcript, find out it i lied, and then blacklist me.

i ended up applying anyways and immediately got the OA invitation, so looks like they dont care that much, its up to me to do well on these tests now i guess.
