Appropriate time for Job Search?

At what time of the year do BBs recruit in large numbers for Trading positions at the Analyst level? I'm looking to shift jobs. I am currently in Passive Index based equity strategies (you can call it Portfolio Service to Asset management Industry, but we actually don't handle the money part). I have worked here for 15mths post MBA(also cleared CFA L3) and currently, I am looking to transition to BB Trading FX/Rates by the year-end, and then move into HF Global Macro (or anything that's not fundamental based). I have applied to over 13 banks, but it seems like everyone is interested in hiring at atleast the associate level and are asking for a min of 3 yrs of trading experience. I looked for quant positions (although I prefer trading) as well, they too ask for work-ex. What to do? Any advice is appreciated! Also, Does the recruitment cycle vary across different regions? HK/SG/UK/US?
