Went through a multitude of S&T interviews, never got any super hard questions (But then again I was pitching myself as a sales guy). Most interest question I got was - If you are selling the exact same product as a few other competitors, how would you differentiate yourself? (Hint: Trust was emphasized by me, and got my the offer). Your market knowledge is really tested, and interviewers will go indepth into your suggestions. I was also asked:

1) if you had to pick between investing in India & China, which would you pick & why? 2) Follow up - which 3 assets would you invest in, in India? 3) if I gave you 10000 USD, how would you invest it? 4) how many planes are in the sky right now (Friend got this) 5) Explain repo/reverse repo (Interview for securities lending desk)

I'd suggest not mentioning that you know about derivatives or putting it in your relevant coursework on your resume unless you are absolutely sure you can answer questions on the spot, because my friend was asked to explain a digital option, which was a hard question at least for him.

Hope this helps
