Based on previous WSO threads, timelines for hearing back from BNP Paribas after first-round interviews can vary depending on the division and role. For example, in the context of Global Markets and M&A, candidates have shared that responses to set up superdays may take some time, and delays are not uncommon. If it's been a while, it doesn't necessarily mean you're out of the running, as firms sometimes take longer to finalize decisions.

If you're concerned, it might be worth reaching out to your recruiter or HR contact for an update. Keep in mind that staying proactive and professional in your follow-up can leave a positive impression.

I just got my first round last week, from what I hear from alumni who are doing some of these interviews they are going in multiple waves. They are very slow though according to the people I spoke to.

Hey, don’t stress too much — BNP Paribas can sometimes take a while to schedule Superdays after the first round. A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • It doesn’t automatically mean you’re out if you haven’t heard back yet. Sometimes internal approvals or scheduling conflicts delay invites.
  • A polite follow-up email to your recruiter is totally fine after a week or two of silence — it shows interest without being pushy.
  • If you’re really unsure, check if other candidates from your round have heard anything; that can give you a rough timeline.

Patience is annoying but common in these processes. Hang in there!
