Cash Equities - how to make myself non-redundant?
I'm a junior at a cash equity trading desk and see a lot of disruption in this field. Although I'm not worried of getting fired for now, the future is definitely not bright.
I'm considering going for an MBA to transition to a different role, but if I decide to stay within S&T, what desks should I am for and/or what can in terms of building skill sets so that I don't become obsolete?
queertheory, pure crickets, that's where I come in. Any of these useful?
No promises, but maybe one of our professional members will share their wisdom: Aleksandra-Jovanovic @bsell333" Samail
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
has most of the disruption happened or is happening?
happening. what can I do ?
What do you even do in cash equities? Everything is automated
So can you help me out dude? instead of lecturing me
I was genuinely curious. Can you tell me what you do?
Move into the e-trading side, maybe a product development role, quantitative + market microstructure research. Although to be fair a lot of the groundbreaking stuff like order book dynamic + post trade analysis has been studied extensively already.
