CMT as a complement to CFA

I just took level II of the CFA a little over a month ago, and I'm thinking about taking the CMT as a complement to that. I currently work in Product Control, but I want to break into trading. Is the CMT worth the time/money as a complement to the CFA? Does the CMT make me a more attractive candidate to break into trading from PC? Thanks.

I've personally never met anyone in my department with the CMT. Also, I thought it was the CFA Level 2 that exempted you from the 86; i've never heard of a CMT based exemption, might want to double check that before you take the dive.

Don't do it. Better off thinking about CFA Level 1 in the fall of your senior year.

Don't know of anyone in research with that designation (did sell-side research). I'm sure between now and your junior summer you could swing an ER or PWM internship, which would be a boost.
