Commodities trading JPMorgan - JPMC

Do you see any future in starting a career trading in commodities at a bulge bracket bank like JPMorgan? What are the ups and downs of this asset? Which desk is best to focus on for placement, oil, gas, agriculture, precious metals? pros and cons of each?

Ignore title, started full time

Commods are a cool area (I’m biased of course). Very macro focused (supply demand, exchange rates). Personally less interested in O/G than other areas, but it certainly isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Definitely make sure you’re aware of the difference between financial trading/ hedging and physical trading, 2 completely different jobs. Not sure what JPM touches.
